Kinfolk Dinner

Monday, February 27, 2012 Sunday Suppers

Last night we attended the kinfolk dinner in at the Green Building in Brooklyn, part of the kinfolk dinner series that is currently on a 12 city tour. We are such huge fans of the kinfolk magazine (we will be contributing a story in the June issue !) and so we were thrilled to meet the talents behind this beautiful publication. We saw some old friends and met a few new ones as well. The company was wonderful and the food so so good- The Jewels of NY served a family style meal: Winter Greens and Grapefruit Salad, Roasted Pork Loin stuffed with port soaked figs, Celery root, Potato + Pear mash, Leek Bread Pudding with Crispy Shiitake Mushrooms and for dessert – a divine Pavlova with Cardamon Cream (we can’t stop thinking about this one).  The dinners are meant to inspire a sense of community and collaboration – a sentiment close to our hearts. And on that note stay tuned – we have a fun announcement coming soon!

I just discovered your blog through Chevron & Stripes…what a treat! Will definitely be coming back for the recipes and photo inspiration.

And wow, the Green Building seems like such a great venue for events. I walk by frequently in the summer and always seem the old-fashioned little truck outside. It’s so great you were able to take part in an event inside!
